The government of New Brunswick launches its new Acts and regulations Web site, powered by Irosoft's LIMS suite

The government of New Brunswick now publishes its Acts and regulations using Irosoft LIMS

Montréal, Québec, September 1, 2011 — Irosoft Inc., a world leader in acts and regulations management, is proud to announce the official launch of the government of New Brunswick's new Acts and regulations publication Web site. The site offers several unique functionalities, such as:

• browsing by Title, Chapter or Department;
• conducting an advanced search that enables users to:
  • search in specific fields (Title, Chapter);
  • dans un sous-ensemble de documents donné (Acts, Regulations ou Both);
  • search the specific version of an act or a regulation on a given date (point-in-time);
• viewing brief search results (displaying keywords in context);
• viewing detailed search results. The level of detail can vary from a simple section to a complete document with table of contents;
• toggling from one language to another (English or French).

The government of New Brunswick, which uses LIMS's Drafting and Legislative Consolidation modules since 2007, has now chosen to integrate LIMS's Publication module, which offers innovative and unique functionalities.

Because LIMS preserves legislative history, users can recreate, from a Web site, an act or a regulation on a given date (point-in-time). LIMS also guaranties the structural and stylistic consistency of legislative documents, helps data sharing between users and enables the government to increase the frequency of its publications. It enables third parties — another department for example — to add a permanent link to their own Web site. This link would point to the section of an Act or a regulation published on the legislative Web site, thereby offering a better service. Finally, LIMS enables the government to publish legislative documents using new open data and semantic Web standards.
