Montreal, May 26, 2008 - Irosoft, in collaboration with the city of Salaberry-de-Valleyfield, is proud to unveil a technology showcase that introduces its new product: Docuthèque, an integrated document and information management platform. This project was made possible thanks to support from the Ministère du Développement économique, de l'Innovation et de l'Exportation (MDEIE).
This technology showcase will enable Irosoft to demonstrate the Docuthèque platform to municipalities, ministries and other organizations that may want to acquire a document management platform. These organizations will be able to observe, in a live environment, Docuthèque's performance and the benefits of integrating a document management platform.
When visiting this showcase, organizations will be able to meet the administrators of the city of Salaberry-de-Valleyfield who will share their assessment of Docuthèque's impact on work processes, productivity and municipal management.
"When we implemented this document management platform, we targetted specific benefits and advantages from the very beginning. These benefits included: the longevity of information and archives, a decrease in information delivery delays, the implementation of an environment that's easy to secure, the control of access to information, the traceability of these accesses, the decrease of management costs and the setup of ecological initiatives," said Jacques Lemieux, Director of the Finance and IT department for the city of Salaberry-de-Valleyfield, the 26th most important city in Quebec.
Like its main competitors, Docuthèque integrates many features such as classification plan management, highlighting capabilities, version management, modification follow-up, non-digital document management and retention schedules.
"But Docuthèque sets itself apart from the competition because it's easy to use and has a unique feature: private or shared annotations," explains Alain Lavoie, President of Irosoft.
